Have you seen Gentry's new commentary on Revelation? Two volumes and 1873 pages.

The Divorce of Israel presents a “redemptive-historical” approach to Revelation. In it John presents a forensic drama wherein God is divorcing his old covenant wife Israel so that he can take a new wife, the new covenant “Israel of God” composed of Jew and Gentile alike.

Thus, Revelation presents the vitally important redemptive-historical transition from the land-based, ethnically focused, temple-dominated old covenant economy to its worldwide, pan-ethnic, spiritual new covenant fulfillment. And it does so by highlighting God’s judgment upon first-century geo-political Israel.

BTW, if you manage to work your way through both Chilton's and Gentry's commentaries on Revelation, I would love to hear a comparison of the two from you. Whew... that would be a total of about 2,500 pages!

I wasn’t abreast of Mr. Gentry’s latest work, thanks for the recommendation!

Well color me surprised! I just ran across a new work on Revelation by James Jordan on Amazon. I had previously attempted to locate a taped lecture series he did on Revelation a number of years ago and now he has reduced it to a three volume "interpretation". IMO, Jordan is a brilliant theologian who has published numerous works on the Word. I would read him before I read anyone else. I began following him when he was one of the young pastors at a small church in Tyler TX. He is a rare genius. I am anxiously awaiting the shipment of his three-volume work.

There are a few other books dealing with this subject I found very helpful. “Matthew 24 Fulfilled” by Evangelist John L. Bray. “Great Prophecies of the Bible” by Ralph Edward Woodrow.

I would be happy to email a PDF of my new book “Israel, Rapture, Tribulation: How to Sort Biblical Fact from Theological Fiction.” I think you will find the section “In Like Manner” dealing with the parousia of Christ very interesting. As well as each topic discussed (Daniel’s Seventy Weeks, Modern-day Israel, the Olivet Discourse, the resurrection, dispensationalism, dating setting, etc.)
