looking into the Springfield, OH situation apparently DHS has a “Temporary “ Protected Status (TPS) Program for Haitians that they have been extending and they term the immigrants under this program “parolees.”
in a Springfield News-Sun article they spin the story as an organic event, the mass migration to that exact spot. and now, in short order they are the majority… expect the new city leaders to be Haitian in the near future.
a Haitian who recently moved from Miami to Springfield opened up a second shop in Springfield selling Catholic, voodoo and Wicca paraphernalia (Milokan Botanica) …as you mentioned.
The Springfield News-Sun article “normalized” what has happened there. Looking further the paper is owned by the 3rd largest media conglomerate Cox Enterprises… independent small town newspapers are extinct.
