Reading this important post, I finally understand what the hullaballoo is about 'Dispensationalism'. I don't personally study Scofield, and didn't fully get that it was his erroneous teachings were behind this 'Israel can do no wrong' heresy. (A nonsense, BTW, that has caused me no end of frustration with the Church in America. The Nikki Haleys, Ted Cruzes, John Hagees, and a whole host of online preachers who want to blame all the world's ills on the Christian nation of Russia.. or a host of other 'baddies', who all frustrate the grace of God - and this writer - no end). I thought the term - dispensationalism - referred to those of us who recognize the distinction in 'time frames' that are clear from Biblical records - that some call 'dispensations'. As for me and my house - we study the Scriptures and have little time for political foils like Scofield, or his field of lazy lackey devotees. (lazy because the most cursory study of Scripture with the holy spirit alongside, would refute for them Scofield's doctrines.)

Scipio,.. I'm reading some screen shots as I listen to this film., about Darby. One clip says this: "The fact that Mr. Darby died six years before Theosophy's co-founder, Helena Blavatsky published her masterwork, The Secret Doctrine, has no bearing upon his use of Theosophy-specific terms and ideas. Theosophy is ancient and originates with Satan, not with H.P. Blavatsky and Henry Steel Olcott." It happens, that one of my fiercest critics in my old church, an elder - who turned people away from me.. practiced Theosophy. I was shocked to find that out, and though I thought to warn him, (he wouldn't listen to me) other ministers knew him well, and never did! He died last year of 'covid'.
I mention his passing, to point out the abject danger inherent in the occult. Theosophy is a virulent occult practice. For a Christian to practice it, was borderline suicidal. These are ministers that go way back in my original church - and ought to have known better.

It always amazes me how easy it is to fool the sheeple with propaganda that is almost cartoonish. For example, the supposed picture of a dead baby that was posted online by Ben Shapiro. Even if it was actually a dead baby, which it isn’t, what proof is there that it was a dead Israeli baby, or that it was killed by a Hamas terrorist? There is not, at least in that post. It's almost universal (though not quite, thank God) to consider people who died, are dying or injured by the vaccinations-bioweapons fair game for the cruelest and usually very unfunny "jokes". Thanks for this, I am almost entirely in agreement, I do think there _is_ still a distinction between Israel and the Church, but it is a far more subtle one than is often advanced, for example:
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
That is to say, those who will repent and cry "blessed is he who comes in the name of The Lord" are beloved for the Fathers sake, despite their temporary enmity with Christ, we have all been in darkness at one time, and like you said, we pray for their repentance just as we do other heathen.
Going back to the preceding verses:

It happens, that one of my fiercest critics in my old church, an elder - who turned people away from me.. practiced Theosophy. Sometimes I wind up finding out things I held to be true, were false - which is how I learned the earth is motionless and flat. He told me to study it.. then provided multiple witnesses both in Scripture and the world. I changed 60 years of thinking! It takes both work AND humility. Having said that, I didn't know the name of what was wrong with Scofield's adherants.. just that they were dead wrong!

Even if it was actually a dead baby, which it isn’t, what proof is there that it was a dead Israeli baby, or that it was killed by a Hamas terrorist? There is not, at least in that post. Thanks for this, I am almost entirely in agreement, I do think there _is_ still a distinction between Israel and the Church, but it is a far more subtle one than is often advanced, for example:
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
That is to say, those who will repent and cry "blessed is he who comes in the name of The Lord" are beloved for the Fathers sake, despite their temporary enmity with Christ, we have all been in darkness at one time, and like you said, we pray for their repentance just as we do other heathen.
Going back to the preceding verses:

Once again I read a distinction here, if Israels blindness will abate after the end of the Church age, then Israel cannot be equated entirely with the church, even though we are "Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."
All-in-all, I'm content to accept it as another mystery that perhaps cannot be fully understood, like I began saying, I agree with you, but still perceive a subtle distinction being maintained in scripture at the same time as an equivalence, and if God seems to be saying two things that I cannot fully reconcile my default is to believe them both simultaneously.
