The importance of history cannot be overstated. This is nowhere more emphatically demonstrated than by God's attention to history in his own Revelation, the Scriptures, and the extent He has gone to in preserving that History down through the millennia. Because of the importance of history, the historical record and the understanding of that record has always been subject to constant attacks and misrepresentations to keep us ignorant of the actual meaning of our history. This is true today more than it has ever been.
If we do not understand our history then we cannot begin to properly understand the events of the currant day. As a result, we become subject to manipulation and control without even realizing this. Today we call this type of manipulation "the narrative" and this manipulation of our minds is extremely sophisticated and it robs us of our liberty and the liberty of our offspring.
I can think of no finer historian than Thomas J. DiLorenzo. Below I am posting links to two lectures that gives the listener easy access to two of his most important works. These two lectures lay out the two most important events in American history surpassed in importance only by the Declaration of Independence and the resulting American Secessionist War for Independence from the British Crown.
These two events which DiLorenzo addresses, Lincoln's war of 1861 and the Constitutional coup of 1913, changed the trajectory of America that was established with the Declaration and the War for Independence by 180 degrees and are directly responsible for where we are today. Yet few understand any of this and as a result, fewer still understand the importance of the events we are now living through. If we are to ensure American liberty for our children and grandchildren, we must understand this history without imposing our own inculcated, false prejudices about that history............................................................................

That would explain why it sounded so familiar, yet was something I had never heard before. I like it. I found it ironic that you would use the old song due to the symbolism associated (album artwork, the name, etc.), but nevertheless it was a good fit. What has been done will be done...can't remember, but all being repeated which has worked before in history, so stealthily that most don't see it. I share these with a few "long live the King Trumpsters" and they won't even look at them, because they've been deluded to believe lies that it must happen to bring in their "golden age". That he's really doing a good thing. They call all the real truths lies. Borg'd into the collective hive mind, and nothing gets through any more. So hard watching, but watch we must, and share, because some are still able to come to a realization of the truth, if they are looking in the right places, the Bible being the foremost authority.
