So much for the “ceasefire.”
Israeli bombs fell on Gaza again this week under the usual pretenses, with hundreds of civilians wounded and over a hundred killed — including 46 children as of the writing of this article. This despite the revelation that a similar “insurgent attack” in prior weeks was caused by unexploded Israeli ordinance, not Hamas. In spite of the constant rhetoric around Hamas as unhinged and untrustworthy fanatics, it is the Israeli regime which has consistently shown itself to be untrustworthy in this regard.
As I have repeated often throughout my writings, there is very little that occurs on the world stage that is organic in nature. Steve Witkoff, Trump’s envoy to the Middle East, let slip a crucial detail this week (to Kushner’s plainly evident chagrin), once more confirming that thesis. The Trump/Kushner plan to rebuild Gaza into a beachfront riviera was drawn up over two years ago: two years ago — meaning the plan was written before October 7th. The significance of this revelation aside, it is even more striking considering Kushner isn’t even in the government, either then or now! The message couldn’t be clearer: governance is obsolete.
Destruction and reconstruction are different phases of the same business model. Gaza is being converted from a graveyard into an investment opportunity, and when the next country starts to burns — Venezuela anyone? — The Regime will sell us those same fictions.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the stories shaping the week that was…
