After two years of unrelenting bloodshed, Gaza now lies in ruins.

Trump, smiling beneath the White House seal, declared victory for “everyone,” boasting that “they’re all tired of fighting.” But fatigue is not the foundation for a lasting peace. We are being told this is peace, but the 21-point “reconstruction” plan reads more like a blueprint for a technocratic surveillance colony. Gaza, long the proving ground for the Israeli surveillance state, will now become its crown jewel. Every building rebuilt will have a camera; every ID, a data trail; every child, a profile. What was once called an occupation will be rebranded as “smart security.” Israel’s defense startups, long enriched by testing their systems on a captive population, are poised to cash in again, this time under the guise of humanitarian recovery. From the Kushner clan to the venture capital vultures of Tel Aviv and New York, the financiers of desolation are already circling.

What can never be lost in this grotesque theater is the collective guilt of the West. The bombs that leveled Gaza were bought and paid for by the American taxpayer. The moral pretense of “self-defense” became a blank check for indiscriminate murder, cheered on by politicians and “pastors” alike. Europe tut-tutted while quietly shipping arms; Washington posed as peacemaker while refueling their jets. While Nicolás Maduro desperately tries to appease the mad dogs in DC, lest he be mauled next, Trump declared this week that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Truly the sickest of jokes.

May God have mercy on the Gazans, especially the forgotten Palestinian Christians.

The bombs may have stopped — for now — but the totalitarian machinery of oppression rolls on.

Without further ado, let’s dive into the stories shaping the week that was…
