Although this is not the focus of this dispatch, I would be remiss if I didn’t address the ongoing developments in the curious case of Charlie Kirk. The increasingly implausible narrative being spoon-fed to us by the FBI has now reached such levels of absurdity that even diehard MAGA loyalists — Steve Bannon among them — have begun to call foul. Yet, just as predictably, some equally dubious counter-narratives have sprouted in the alternative media. I will address those in detail next week, once my voice has fully recovered from a recent illness. As is my habit, I would rather be late and accurate than first and misleading.

Set against this spectacle is the staggering silence surrounding the real cataclysm of our age: the mass slaughter of innocents in Gaza, carried out with American weapons, intel, & dollars. Officially, tens of thousands have perished, although the true death toll is almost assuredly in the six figures. Yet the outrage we are told to muster is solely reserved for curated domestic tragedies.

As I have warned and documented for nearly two years now, Gaza itself has been reduced to rubble: it is now primed for redevelopment and exploitation by Trump and his coterie of Zionist benefactors. The chutzpah is staggering: Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s finance minister, openly boasted this week that Gaza could become a “real estate bonanza,” telling a Tel Aviv conference that since Israel had “paid a lot of money for this war,” it’s only fair that they recoup their losses. To call this man ghoulish is a gross understatement.

It is the precise inversion of the Biblical mandate to defend the fatherless and plead for the widow: the powerful line their pockets, the innocent are annihilated, and the American Church — by and large — remains utterly silent. And while Gaza burns, another horror continues with barely a headline— the civil war in Sudan, where countless Christians have been massacred, and in Nigeria, where churches are routinely put to the torch. For all the moving hagiographies written about Charlie Kirk this week, where are the laments for these brothers and sisters in Christ?

The death of a young father is indeed a tragedy; the deaths of hundreds of thousands are a crisis of conscience.

Where is the empathy for them? Where is our outrage over their deaths, their persecution?

Without further ado, let’s dive into the stories shaping the week that was…
