The Epstein rug pull is blowing back spectacularly — and far more fiercely than even Trump’s handlers likely anticipated. His polling numbers, dubious indicators though they may be, are in free fall; the outrage (genuine for once) has spread beyond the usual suspects, capturing everyone not comfortably nestled on Mossad’s payroll. That should hardly be surprising given the outrageous levels of invective that the President has hurled at his “former supporters” this week — deriding them as simpletons and “bad people” for wanting child predators to be brought to account.
But despite the many sudden and seemingly bipolar shifts on the release of the “nonexistent” list, I still very much doubt anything of substance will be released. Thus, if anything emerges, expect more justice theater and more carefully curated sacrificial lambs — perhaps one of Epstein’s stable of recruiters. Indeed, the immediate pivot to Obama and #Russiagate is laughably transparent in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Iranian fiasco continues to play out as I predicted in the aftermath of the so-called 12 Day War. Back when every MAGA media shill was crowing about the “spectacular success” of the bombing raid, I warned it had achieved nothing except emboldening regime hardliners and uniting the Iranian public behind their government. Sure enough, Trump and Netanyahu are now quietly conceding that Iran’s enrichment largely continues without a hitch, and Bibi’s already sharpening knives for the next round of bombings.
As I said from the start: this reckless strike wasn’t the conclusion of anything.
