But WHATEVER the underlying rationale (beyond what we're being asked to believe occurred for whatever ends) it SHOULD even more staunchly not make us fearful or timid, but encourage us as Christians living already slated for eternity with our LORD & Savior, already "walking in newness of life," already "complete in Him", already in possession of "everything pertaining to life & Godliness" a those who are "partakers of the divine life" -- those Who have not loved our own lives unto death -- who were crucified with Christ and raised to a new life (HIS life in us) and placed into Him as a permanent state of being -- indestructible until He has completed His purposes and intentions for us here as His ambassadors and emissaries - those who exhibit and transmit Jesus as a byproduct of abiding (the production of fruit that remains) to stay faithful to our calling and not be intimidated. If there is a legacy to be remembered in this awful drama, it is that our lives are not our own -- that the myth of sovereignty and choice must be married also to the reality that we are here temporarily - for a greater or lesser amount of time and what we do FOR JESUS while we are here is WHAT TRULY MATTERS. And when asked, what did Jesus say needed to be done in order to "work the works of God?" TO BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM GOD HAS SENT -- that belief translates into a trust, an unshakeable resolve that once we are HIS we are then HIS entirely -- we don't "keep back" a little to indulge ourselves (I'm not saying we can't enjoy life!) and when we spend ourselves to do what He has called and equipped and empowered and animated us to do using the unique gifts He has lavished upon us, we are fulfilling the high calling that is our lives. But I am "older" in years, with grown children, grandchildren, retired, and watching in great earnest as the spin doctors become more and more accomplished as priests for the fallen one and his aspirations and designs leading to the final end predicted in scripture and validated by what we can see, hear, and detect in the unfolding events all around us. ...and I've been actively watching now as a believer in Jesus since 1973 (I was 16 and hungry to know what it was my Christian friends had that I lacked -- when I BEGGED to be told and shown the truth of what I needed and was so elated to be told and to act upon it) -- WHERE ARE THOSE DAYS NOW? So, in the even they may be spokesmen for this event, these seem to be part of the intended messaging.

In most photos of Kirk with his children, the children's arms are clenched close to themselves and between themselves and the parent. There is not an appearance of ease or comfort - and similar with those of his wife with the children.

The event reinforced for me all the things that have become clearer and stronger in the last couple of years - The need to be ready to encounter hardship and loss of all as the psychological warfare and digital prison close in. Gratefulness to the apostles and other martyrs who demonstrated walking through persecution unto death. And I want to be kind and cheerful to everyone I meet - provide them a moment of rest from fear and attack and show regardless of conditions what a beautiful and joyful walk it is with Christ.
